    Loimwe Protected Area is a protected area in Myanmar's Shan State, covering 41.35 km (15.97 sq mi). It ranges in elevation from 925 to 1,920 m (3,035 to 6,299 ft) and harbours dry hill forest interspersed with pine trees. It was established in 1996 and is managed by the Forest Department of Kengtung Township.

    Doi Mae Salong (Thai: ดอยแม่สลอง) is a hill of Dan Lao range in Chiang Rai province, Thailand 6 km. from the border with Burma. This mountain rises in Mae Fa Luang District. Its summit is near the town of Santikhiri which is built on the ridge. The height of this hill is about 950–1200 meters and the area is around 115.26 square meters. It is ~886 kilometers away from Bangkok. The town is largely inhabited by ethnic Chinese originating from settlement by the paramilitary remnants of the Kuomintang army who were expelled from Burma in 1961. They fought local communists in Thailand on behalf of the Thai government and logistical support from the United States of America. Afterwards, they were allowed to live in Doi Mae Salong with Thai citizenship.

It is a karstic formation with numerous waterfalls and caves rising at the southern end of the Daen Lao Range. Part of its area is managed as the Tham Luang–Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park (Thai: วนอุทยานถ้ำหลวง-ขุนน้ำนางนอน).

Established on 2 November 2000, the park covers 702,085 rai ~ 1,123 square kilometres (434 sq mi) of the Pha Daeng mountain areas of the Daen Lao Range near the border with Burma, just north of Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary. The tallest summit is 1,794 m high Doi Puk Phakka.

    Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติดอยผ้าห่มปก), formerly known as Mae Fang National Park and Doi Fa Hom Pok National Park, is the northernmost national park in Thailand. It straddles Fang, Mae Ai, and Chai Prakan Districts of Chiang Mai Province. The park covers 327,500 rai ~ 524 square kilometres (202 sq mi) of the mountain area of the Daen Lao Range, at the border with Myanmar. The tallest peak is Doi Pha Hom Pok at 2,285 metres (7,497 ft), the second highest in Thailand. The park was established on September 4, 2000.

    Doi Ang Khang (Thai: ดอยอ่างขาง) is a mountain in Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. It is part of the Daen Lao Range that straddles both sides of the Burmese-Thai border. It is the site of an agricultural station, the first research station set up by King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1969. The peak of Doi Ang Khang is 1,928 metres (6,325 ft) above sea level, and the agricultural station covers an area of 1,989 rai (318 ha).
