King Thrushbeard (Slovak: Kráľ Drozdia brada, German: König Drosselbart) is a 1984 Czechoslovakian film based on an adaptation of the Grimm Brothers fairy-tale Red Beard.

Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (Czech: Valerie a týden divů) is a 1970 Czechoslovak Gothic surrealist coming-of-age psychological dark fantasy horror film co-written and directed by Jaromil Jireš, based on the 1935 novel of the same name by Vítězslav Nezval. It is considered part of the Czechoslovak New Wave movement. The film portrays the heroine as living in a disorienting dream, cajoled by priests, vampires, and men and women alike. The film blends dark fantasy, eroticism and Gothic horror genres.

The Little Mermaid (Czech: Malá mořská víla) is a 1976 Czechoslovak fantasy film directed by Karel Kachyňa based on the 1837 fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen. The film won the Main Prize at 1977 Gijón International Film Festival. The plot faithfully follows Andersen's story, with the main difference that mermaids are portrayed as water nymphs with legs instead of fish tails.

How to Wake a Princess (Czech: Jak se budí princezny) is a 1977 Czechoslovak fantasy film directed by Václav Vorlíček. It is based on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, in the versions collected by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm.

How to Drown Dr. Mracek, the Lawyer (Czech: Jak utopit dr. Mráčka aneb Konec vodníků v Čechách) is a Czechoslovak comedy film directed by Václav Vorlíček. It was released in 1974.

Beauty and the Beast (Czech: Panna a netvor, literally "The Virgin and the Monster") is a 1978 Czechoslovak dark fantasy-horror film directed by Slovak film director Juraj Herz.

Princess Goldilocks (Czech: Zlatovláska) is a 1973 Czechoslovak television musical fairytale film directed by Vlasta Janečková. It is based on a story by Karel Jaromír Erben. The film was shot at Červená Lhota Castle, Sychrov Castle and Slapy Dam.

The Salt Prince (Slovak: Soľ nad zlato, Czech: Sůl nad zlato, German: Der Salzprinz, Italian: Il Principe del Sale) is a 1983 Slovak fairy-tale film based on a novel by Pavol Dobšinský. The film's central lesson is that salt, as it is necessary for life, is more precious than gold and emeralds.
