Steven Robert Ades (born 1 March 1982) is a former English first-class cricketer. Ades was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break.

Richard James Langridge (April 13, 1939 – January 3, 2005) was an English first class cricketer who played for Sussex. He was the son of English Test cricketer James Langridge.

Joe Stephen Gatting (born 25 November 1987) is a first-class cricketer and former footballer who played for Hampshire until he was released at the end of the 2015 season. Gatting previously played football for Brighton & Hove Albion as a striker before being released on 31 October 2008. He however returned to football part-time for one season with Whitehawk.

Leslie Hewitt Gay, born at Brighton on 24 March 1871 and died at Sidmouth, Devon, on 1 November 1949, was a first-class cricketer who played for Cambridge University, Hampshire, Somerset and England. As a footballer, he played for Cambridge University, the Corinthians and England.

John Wisden (5 September 1826 – 5 April 1884) was an English cricketer who played 187 first-class cricket matches for three English county cricket teams, Kent, Middlesex and Sussex. He is now best known for launching the eponymous Wisden Cricketers' Almanack in 1864, the year after he retired from first-class cricket.

Maurice William Tate (30 May 1895 – 18 May 1956) was an English cricketer of the 1920s and 1930s and the leader of England's Test bowling attack for a long time during this period. He was also the first Sussex cricketer to take a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket.

Guy Edward Thwaites MBE (born 19 January 1971) is a British professor of infectious diseases at the University of Oxford, and director of the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. His focus is on severe bacterial infections, including meningitis and Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infection, and tuberculosis. He is a former first-class cricketer.
