Creighton Bluejays athletic directors

Edward Eugene Sutton (March 12, 1936 – May 23, 2020) was an American college basketball coach. He was a head coach for 36 years at the Division I level, at Creighton, Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State (his alma mater), and the University of San Francisco. Sutton became the first coach to take four schools to the NCAA tournament, and he reached the Final Four with Arkansas in 1978 and Oklahoma State in 1995 and 2004. He is one of only eight major college men's basketball coaches to have over 800 career wins.

William John Schneider (May 16, 1883 – April 17, 1958) was an American college football player and coach. He played for Saint Louis University. He is credited with making the first legal reception of a forward pass in American football, thrown by Bradbury Robinson in a game at Carroll College on September 5, 1906.

Thomas Emmet Mills (April 5, 1883 – February 25, 1944) was an American football player, coach of football, basketball, and baseball, and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Creighton University (1915–1919), Beloit College (1920–1925), Georgetown University (1930–1932), and Arkansas State College (1934–1935), compiling a career college football record of 63–45–12. Mills was the head baseball coach at the University of Notre Dame from 1927 to 1929, during which time he was also an assistant football coach at the school under Knute Rockne. In addition, Mills was the head basketball coach at Creighton (1916–1920), Beloit (1920–1923), and Arkansas State (1935–1936), amassing a career college basketball record of 107–25. Mills died at the age of 60 on February 25, 1944, of a heart attack at the Rockne Memorial Field House in Notre Dame, Indiana. He served as the director of the field house for the four years before his death.

Arthur August Schabinger (August 6, 1889 – October 13, 1972) was an American football and basketball coach and college athletics administrator. Schabinger is credited (although disputed) with throwing the first forward pass in college football history. Even if it was not the first forward pass, most certainly Schabinger was one of the early adopters and innovators of the play.

Tom Apke (born July 16, 1943) was a college basketball coach at Creighton, Colorado, and Appalachian State. From 1974 to 1981, he coached at Creighton, where he compiled a 130–64 record. From 1981 to 1986, he coached at Colorado, where he compiled a 59–81 record. From 1986 to 1996, he served as the head basketball coach at Appalachian State. During his ten-year tenure, he compiled a 139–147 record.

Marchmont H. "Marchy" Schwartz (March 20, 1909 – April 18, 1991) was an American football player and coach. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame from 1929 to 1931, and was a two-time All-American at halfback. Schwartz served as the head football coach at Creighton University from 1935 to 1939 and at Stanford University from 1942 to 1950, compiling a career college football coaching record of 47–50–6; Stanford, like may other universities, suspended football during World War II. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1974.

John J. "Red" McManus (January 30, 1925 – July 23, 2013) was an American basketball coach best known for his tenure as head coach at Creighton University.

Bruce Rasmussen (born September 29, 1950) is the director of athletics at Creighton University. He was the head coach of the Creighton Bluejays women's basketball team from 1980 to 1992. From 1992 to 1994, he served as the associate athletics director, before being named the athletics director in 1994.
