William Murray (10 June 1901 – 14 December 1961) was a football player and manager for Sunderland. He also played for Scottish League clubs Cowdenbeath and St Mirren.

Stewart M. Renfrew was a Scottish football centre forward who played in the Scottish League for Cowdenbeath and Queen of the South. He was capped by Scotland at junior level.

William Lancaster, sometimes known as Lanky Lancaster, was a Scottish football outside right who made 110 appearances in the Scottish League for Cowdenbeath. He also played league football for Clackmannan.

John Murphy, sometimes known as Basher Murphy, was a Scottish football left half who made over 290 appearances in the Scottish League for Queen of the South and Cowdenbeath.

Isaac McCandlish McDowell was a Scottish footballer and football manager who played as an inside-right for Dunoon Athletic, Glasgow Perthshire, Airdrieonians, Dumbarton, King's Park, Cowdenbeath, Port Vale, Coleraine, Linfield, and Ards. He later managed Ards, Linfield and Glentoran.

Willie Philp was a Scottish professional football centre forward who played in the Scottish League for Cowdenbeath. Either side of his spell with Cowdenbeath, he played in the United States.

Robert "Bobby" Angus Wilson (born 23 July 1943) is a footballer who played as a right-back in the Scottish Football League for Cowdenbeath and Dundee. Wilson was given a testimonial match by Dundee, played against Celtic on 1 December 1975. He was inducted into the Dundee FC Hall of Fame in 2013.

Peter Gildea (1883–1940) was a Scottish professional football outside right who played in the Football League for Bury. He also played in the Scottish League for Airdrieonians and later served Celtic as a scout.

George Jordan (1917 – 8 July 1944) was a Scottish football right back who played in the Scottish League for Cowdenbeath.

George Drummond was a Scottish football centre forward who played in the Scottish League for Leith Athletic.
