Maribel Guardia (born Maribel Del Rocío Fernández García on May 29, 1959) is a Costa Rican-Mexican actress, TV host, model, singer and beauty pageant titleholder. She was winner of Miss Costa Rica 1978 and contestant in Miss Universe 1978.

Deborah Nowalski Kader, better known by her stage name Debi Nova (born 6 August 1980), is a Costa Rican singer-songwriter who resides in Los Angeles.

Isabel Vargas Lizano (17 April 1919 – 5 August 2012), better known as Chavela Vargas, was a Costa Rica-born Mexican singer. She was especially known for her rendition of Mexican rancheras, but she is also recognized for her contribution to other genres of popular Latin American music. She was an influential interpreter in the Americas and Europe, muse to figures such as Pedro Almodóvar, hailed for her haunting performances, and called "la voz áspera de la ternura", the rough voice of tenderness. The Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, presented her with a Latin Grammy in 2007.

Danilo Montero (born 1 November 1962) is a Costa Rican contemporary Christian music singer, author, and pastor, who currently serves as pastor of Lakewood Church's Spanish-speaking congregation.

María José Castillo (born August 11, 1990) is a Costa Rican singer. She is best known for her participation in Latin American Idol. On the show she ended as the runner-up, losing to Margarita Henríquez. Her debut album, "María José", was released on November 25, 2008. The album was successful, debuting on the Costa Rican Top 10 albums on position 5. Its lead single, "Abre Tu Corazón", entered the Costa Rican Top 40 at position 3.

Lita Tresierra (1977 – 21 June 2010) was a Costa Rican singer and actress. She was the singer of the alternative rock musical group La Nueva P (1994–1997), which released the album Simple, with songs like "La pecera es una loquera", "No", and "Bip biri bop". The band got dissolved when she left the country, but they gathered in 2009.

Fatiniza is a Colombian pop fusion singer-songwriter, based in Costa Rica.

MishCatt is the artistic pseudonym for Michelle Gonzalez, a singer-songwriter from San Jose, Costa Rica. She has previously performed and released music in the Costa Rica-based pop band Patterns, but left the band in 2014 to focus on her solo project.

Guadalupe Urbina (born 28 October 1959) is a Costa Rican singer-songwriter, poet, and activist. Urbina is a folk musician whose compositions reflect the oral tradition of Guanacaste, her birthplace. She has performed in both Europe and the United States and has won various awards for her work domestically and internationally.

Zelmira Segreda Solera de Cappella (1878–1923) was a Costa Rican soprano. She studied singing in Italy and was a successful performer on her return to Costa Rica. She is "considered one of the most important dramatic sopranos that Costa Rica has ever had."
