Issey Miyake (三宅 一生, Miyake Issei, 22 April 1938 – 5 August 2022) was a Japanese fashion designer. He is known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibitions and fragrances, such as L'eau d'Issey, which has become his best-known product.

Yohji Yamamoto (山本 耀司, Yamamoto Yōji, born 1943) is a Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris. Considered a master tailor alongside those such as Madeleine Vionnet, he is known for his avant-garde tailoring featuring Japanese design aesthetics.

ASICS Corporation (Japanese: 株式会社アシックス, Hepburn: Kabushiki gaisha Ashikkusu, commonly known as Asics) is a Japanese multinational corporation that produces sportswear. The name is an acronym for the Latin phrase anima sana in corpore sano (translated by Asics as "a sound mind, in a sound body"). Wacoal (Japanese: ワコール) is a manufacturer of women's lingerie and underwear, founded in 1949 in Japan by Koichi Tsukamoto. The company has divisions in North America and Europe, and manufactures the brands Wacoal, b.tempt'd, Elomi, Eveden, Fantasie, Freya, Lively, and Goddess.

Tsumori Chisato (津森 千里) is a Japanese fashion designer.

Junya Watanabe (born in Fukushima, Japan in 1961) is a Japanese fashion designer, a protégé of Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo. He continues to work for Comme des Garcons: His atelier is located on the second floor of its Tokyo headquarters, and he produces four shows a year in Paris.

Comme des Garçons (French for 'Like Boys', Japanese: コム・デ・ギャルソン, Komu de Gyaruson), also CDG for short, is a Japanese fashion label based in Paris, founded by Rei Kawakubo. Its French flagship store is located in Paris, while its other physical retail stores are in London, Berlin, Melbourne, Seoul, Hong Kong, New York City and in the Aoyama district of Tokyo. Other than fashion, the label has expanded to include jewelry and perfume (under the brand Comme des Garçons Parfums).
