Edmund Gerald Brown Jr. (born April 7, 1938) is an American politician who served as the 34th and 39th governor of California from 1975 to 1983 and from 2011 to 2019. In the early 1970s, Brown was elected California secretary of state, and decades later served as mayor of Oakland, California from 1999 to 2007, and California attorney general from 2007 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, Brown was both the oldest and sixth-youngest governor of California as a consequence of the 28-year gap between his second and third terms. Upon completing his fourth term in office, Brown became the third longest-serving governor in United States history, serving 16 years and 7 days in office.

Kamala Devi Harris ( KAH-mə-lə; born October 20, 1964) is an American politician and attorney serving as the 49th and current vice president of the United States. Harris served as a United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021, and as attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017.

Earl Warren (March 19, 1891 – July 9, 1974) was an American politician and jurist who served as Governor of California from 1943 to 1953 and Chief Justice of the United States from 1953 to 1969. The "Warren Court" presided over a major shift in American constitutional jurisprudence, which has been recognized by many as a "Constitutional Revolution" in the liberal direction, with Warren writing the majority opinions in landmark cases such as Brown v. Board of Education (1954), Reynolds v. Sims (1964), Miranda v. Arizona (1966) and Loving v. Virginia (1967). Warren also led the Warren Commission, a presidential commission that investigated the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He is the last Chief Justice to have served in an elected office before entering the Supreme Court, and is generally considered to be one of the most influential Supreme Court justices and political leaders in the history of the United States.

Courken George Deukmejian Jr. ; (June 6, 1928 – May 8, 2018) was an American politician from the Republican Party who was the 35th Governor of California from 1983 to 1991 and Attorney General of California from 1979 to 1983.

Edmund Gerald "Pat" Brown Sr. (April 21, 1905 – February 16, 1996) was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 32nd Governor of California from 1959 to 1967. Born in San Francisco, Brown had an early interest in speaking and politics. He skipped college and he earned a LL.B. law degree in 1927. His first elected office was as district attorney for San Francisco, he was elected attorney general of California in 1950 before becoming the state's governor in 1959.

Xavier Becerra (, hah-vee-AIR; born January 26, 1958) is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 33rd and current Attorney General of California since 2017. He previously was a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Downtown Los Angeles in Congress from 1993 to 2017. Becerra, a member of the Democratic Party, was Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus from 2013 to 2017.

Robert Andres Bonta (born September 22, 1972) is an American attorney and politician serving as the California State Assemblyman for the 18th district since 2012. A member of the Democratic Party, his district covers the central East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area and includes the cities of Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro. Bonta was previously a member of the Alameda City Council from 2010 to 2012.
