    The success of N.W.A. had frustrated many in the gang community, who saw the group capitalizing on the gang lifestyle. The Bloods & Crips project was originally organized by rappers O.Y.G redruM781 and Tweedy Bird Loc. Actual gang members, Crips from Compton, Watts and Long Beach, Bloods from Inglewood and Los Angeles auditioned for the group and the best ones were chosen for the album. In 1993 the Bloods & Crips released their debut album entitled "Bangin' on Wax" for Warlock Records. One year later, the group's second and final studio album, "Bangin' on Wax 2... The Saga Continues" was released. After Bangin' on Wax 2, the Bloods & Crips parted ways, with the Bloods becoming the Damu Ridas and the Crips became the Nationwide Rip Ridaz. The Bloods and Crips members, from the albums were frauded out because of music royalties by Russ Regan and his wife and Adam Levy, soon Morris Levy and lawyer Steven Lowy gave the record deal to Ronnie Ron.

    Roger McBride (born December 14, 1968), better known by his stage name King T (formerly known as King Tee), is an American West Coast Hip hop rapper from Compton, California. Emerging as one of Compton's earliest hip hop artists. He was signed to Capitol records, where he released his debut album "Act a Fool" in 1988 with the hit singles, "Act a Fool," "Payback's a Mutha," "The Coolest," and "Bass (remix)," all of which were considered hip-hop classics. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he worked primarily with producer DJ Pooh, and was responsible for the rise of Tha Alkaholiks, whom he helped guide into the industry. T is also the CEO of his own record label, King T Inc.

    redruM 781 (born Jermaine Carter on July 22, 1972) is an American rapper from Inglewood, California. redruM 781, Tweedy and producer Ronnie Phillips organized hip hop project Bloods & Crips, collaboration between Bloods and Crips members. He is a Piru gang member himself. redruM 781 is also known for his key role on "Bangin' on Wax", he and his fellow female MC Bloody Mary were the two key players for getting this particular Bangin' on Wax project off the ground. He is cousin of the rapper Kurupt, with whom they had a long-time beef.

    O.F.T.B. (an abbreviation of Operation From The Bottom) was an American hip hop group from the Watts district of South Los Angeles, California. The group O.F.T.B. consisted of three founding actual gang members Kevin “Flipside” White, Sammy “Bust Stop” Williams, and Ronald “Low M.B.” Watkins, who grew up in Nickerson Gardens Project, which is home to the notorious gang Bounty Hunter Bloods. They were signed to Big Beat Records where they released their debut album Straight Up Watts in 1992 with the hit single "Slangin' Dope".

    Saddleback Valley refers to the flat and foothill areas west-southwest of the Saddleback double peak of the Santa Ana Mountains and east-northeast of the hilly Crystal Cove State Park in southern Orange County, California. The region primarily encompasses the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, and Rancho Santa Margarita, as well as the communities of Coto de Caza and Ladera Ranch. The cities of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, and Laguna Niguel, as well as some of Orange County's eastern canyon communities, partially reside within the valley. The southeastern portion of Irvine also encroaches upon the area, but the two are not typically associated with each other.
