Building and structure arson attacks in London

The investigation into the murder of Maxwell Confait was a case which raised questions about police procedures, how police adhered to the procedures already stipulated and caused a major review in how suspects are treated, particularly children and "the educationally subnormal".

The New Cross double murder occurred on 29 June 2008, when two French research students, Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, were murdered in Sterling Gardens, New Cross, London Borough of Lewisham in South East London, United Kingdom.

The Clerkenwell cinema fire occurred in the Dream City adult cinema (also known as the 'New City Cinema') at 7 St John Street, Clerkenwell, London, United Kingdom, on 26 February 1994. The fire, caused by arson, killed 11 men. Due to the pornographic nature of the films it screened, and the strict cinema licensing regulations in London at the time, the cinema was operating illegally, and thus was not subject to fire inspections as legal entertainment venues were.

The Worsley Hotel Fire was a major arson fire at the Worsley Hotel in Maida Vale, London on 13 December 1974. It killed seven people, including a probationary firefighter.
