Birds of Maluku

The Damar flycatcher (Ficedula henrici) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is endemic to Indonesia.

The Moluccan masked owl (Tyto sororcula), also known as the lesser masked owl, is a species of owl in the barn owl family. It is endemic to the south Moluccas of Indonesia. Some taxonomists consider this species to be conspecific with the Australian masked owl.

The Banda myzomela (Myzomela boiei) is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is endemic to Indonesia. It is found in the Banda, Babar and Tanimbar Islands.

The Boano monarch (Symposiachrus boanensis), or black-chinned monarch, is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae endemic to Indonesia. It is found on Boano island in the southern Mollucas. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.

The scaly-breasted honeyeater (Lichmera squamata), also known as the white-tufted honeyeater, is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is endemic to Indonesia, where it occurs in the southern Moluccas. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.

The rufous-sided gerygone (Gerygone dorsalis) is a species of bird in the family Acanthizidae. It is found in the eastern Lesser Sunda Islands and Kai Islands.

The red lory (Eos bornea) is a species of parrot in the family Psittaculidae. It is the second-most commonly kept lory in captivity, after the rainbow lorikeet.

The tricolored parrotfinch (Erythrura tricolor) is a species of estrildid finch found in Timor and the southern Moluccas. It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 20,000 to 50,000 km.

The grey friarbird (Philemon kisserensis) is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is endemic to the southern Moluccas: Kisar, Leti and Moa islands.
