    Riffians or Rifians (Tarifit: Irifiyen, singular: Arifi; Arabic: الريفيون) are a Berber ethnic group originally from the Rif region of northeastern Morocco (includes the autonomous city of Spain, Melilla). Communities of Riffian immigrants are also found in southern Spain, Netherlands and Belgium as well as elsewhere in Western Europe. They are overwhelmingly Sunni Muslims.

    The Ait Waryaghar or Ait Ouriaghel (Berber: ⴰⵢⵜ ⵡⴰⵔⵢⴰⵖⴻⵔ) is one of the biggest Riffian tribes of the Rif region of the north-eastern part of Morocco and one of the most populous. Ait Waryagher means "those who do not back off/ those who do not retreat". They inhabit most of the territory around the city of Al Hoceima. The Ait Waryaghar speak the "Western-Tarifit" dialect of the Riffian language.

    Shilha (SHIL-hə; from its name in Moroccan Arabic, Šəlḥa), now more commonly known as Tashelhiyt or Tachelhit (TASH-əl-hit; from the endonym Taclḥiyt), is a Berber language spoken in southwestern Morocco. When referring to the language, anthropologists and historians prefer the name Shilha, which is in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). Linguists writing in English prefer Tashelhit (or a variant spelling). In French sources the language is called tachelhit, chelha or chleuh.

    Goulmima (Arabic: ݣلميمة ، تيزي ن إمناين) is a town in Morocco situated in the province of Errachidia, in the region of Drâa-Tafilalet. An agricultural oasis, it is fed by the Wadi Gheris from the central High Atlas mountains. Like other settlements in Tafilalet, it was built as a fortified village or ksar. One of the most important ones, (Ksar Goulmima), is in the process of restoration. Not just a historical location, several hundred people still live in the ksar.

    The Kebdana or Ichebdanen (Berber: ⵉⵛⴱⴷⴰⵏⴻⵏ) are a Riffian-Berber tribe of Zenata origin that lives in the eastern part of the Rif, in northeastern Morocco between Nador and Berkane. They lived primarily in the villages of Kebdana, an area in the Rif region South of Arekmane. Due to migration, many Ichebdanen live now in the cities of the region and in Europe. The main cities of the Ichebdanen are Zaio, Arekmane and Ras Kebdana. In Nador, Berkane and Selouane live many Ichebdanen because of their jobs. In the Rif region are Ichebdanen famous for their use of the consonant „l“ in many words. For example: Temlalen (eggs)

    Ait Oulichek (Tarifit: ⴰⵢⵜ ⵓⵍⵉⵛⴽ, Arabic: بني ولشك) is an Amazigh Riffian tribe located in the North-Eastern province of Morocco. Ayt (or Ait and Aït) or Beni is referred to as 'Descendants of' with the latter being the most common form of address of the Oulichek tribe until the recent Arabization in Morocco initiative.
