    Marit Higraff is a Norwegian investigative journalist for NRK, the Norwegian radio and television public broadcasting company. She is best known for co-producing the NRK and BBC World Service programme Death in Ice Valley in 2018, alongside Neil McCarthy. Higraff makes use of modern forms of journalism, mostly podcasting. She is one of the leading experts on the case of the unidentified Isdal Woman and successfully encouraged the Bergen Police to reopen the case in 2016.

    The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a science fiction comedy radio series written by Douglas Adams (with some material in the first series provided by John Lloyd). It was originally broadcast in the United Kingdom by BBC Radio 4 in 1978, and afterwards the BBC World Service, National Public Radio in the US and CBC Radio in Canada. The series was the first radio comedy programme to be produced in stereo, and was innovative in its use of music and sound effects, winning a number of awards.

    Just a Minute is a BBC Radio 4 radio comedy and television panel game, chaired, with a few exceptions, by Nicholas Parsons from 1967 until 2019. For more than fifty years of the programme's run, Parsons appeared on every show, though he was occasionally a panellist rather than chairman. Just a Minute was first transmitted on Radio 4 on 22 December 1967, three months after the station's launch. The Radio 4 programme won a Gold Sony Radio Academy Award in 2003.

    World Book Club is a radio programme on the BBC World Service. Each edition of the programme, which is broadcast on the first Saturday of the month with repeats into the following Monday, features a famous author discussing one of his or her books, often the most well-known one, with the public. Since the programme began in 2002 it has been presented by Harriett Gilbert .

    Radio Newsreel is a news programme produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation between 1940 and 1988. The 15-minute programme, which was eventually broadcast four times a day on the BBC World Service with a daily broadcast on the BBC Light Programme (as part of The News and Radio Newsreel), was composed of recorded dispatches from correspondents in the field, live and recorded actuality and such other features, borrowed from the format of the cinema newsreel, as interviews with people currently in the news.

    Outlook is a radio programme on BBC World Service that broadcasts human interest stories from across the globe. It broadcasts from Monday to Thursday from 1206 to 1259 GMT. A shorter edition, Outlook Weekend, airs on Saturdays from 2332 to 2359 GMT. First broadcast on 4 July 1966, it began as a straightforward magazine programme and was presented for more than thirty years by John Tidmarsh. More recently, it has been praised for a consistent ability to uncover fascinating stories. It was credited with bringing solace to Terry Waite after his abduction by Islamic extremists in Beirut in 1987. Corruption of any kind is a favourite topic on the show and it has achieved recognition for its high production values alongside other BBC radio programmes.

    Newsday is BBC World Service's international hard news and current affairs programme. It acts as an afternoon programme for Asia, a breakfast broadcast in Europe and the UK and an overnight news programme for the Americas. It premiered on 23 July 2012. Replacing The World Today and Network Africa, the programme has a particular focus on Africa. It was expected at its launch that the programme would have one of the largest audiences - if not the largest - of any radio programme in the world.
