Bangladesh Navy bases

BNS Mongla is a naval base of the Bangladesh Navy located in the southwestern part of Bangladesh. It is situated on the banks of the Pussur River in Mongla Upazila of Bagerhat district, about 70 kilometers south of Khulna city.

BNS Issa Khan is a naval base of the Bangladeshi Navy in Chittagong district of Bangladesh. It is the second largest base of Bangladesh Navy.

Bangladesh Navy (BN) Dockyard is only naval base of the Bangladesh Navy located in Patenga, Chattagram which provides technical support to Bangladesh Navy. BN Dockyard is solely responsible for keeping operational of Bangladesh Navy warships by providing continuous repair and maintenance support through its skilled manpower and different workshops.

BNS Titumir (Bengali: বানৌজা তিতুমীর) is a naval base of the Bangladeshi Navy, founded after the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, and located in Khulna. Till 1971 it was titled as PNS Titumir as Bangladesh was then part of Pakistan.

BNS Haji Mohsin is a naval base of the Bangladesh Navy. It was established after the Bangladesh War of 1971, and named in honour of Haji Muhammad Mohsin. The base is the principal logistics base of the Bangladesh Navy, and is located in the Dhaka Cantonment.

BNS Sher-e-Bangla is the first all service naval base being developed for the Bangladesh Navy at Rabnabad, Patuakhali. With an area of 700 acres. this is the largest naval base of the Bangladesh Navy. Of that area, 300 acres of land have been developed for naval base and 400 acres is devoted for naval aviation and submarine operations. It is named after the 1st Prime Minister of Bengal, A. K. Fazlul Huq, who was known as Sher-e-Bangla or the Tiger of Bengal.

The Bangladesh Navy (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ নৌবাহিনী, Bāṅlādēś Nôubāhinī) is the naval warfare branch of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, responsible for the defence of Bangladesh's 118,813 square kilometres (45,874 sq mi) of maritime territorial area from any external threat, and the security of sea ports and exclusive economic zones of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Navy is a front line disaster management force in Bangladesh. The navy takes part in United Nations peacekeeping.

BNS Shaheed Moazzem is a naval base of the Bangladesh Navy, established after the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, and named in honour of shaheed (Martyr) Lieutenant Commander Moazzem Hossain who had sacrificed his life for his motherland in the Bangladesh Liberation War.

BNS Pekua is a new naval base that has been developed for the Bangladesh Navy. This is the first ever full-fledged submarine base of Bangladesh Navy. Built at a cost of $1.21 billion, the base can accommodate a total of six submarines and eight warships at a time. It will allow for safe and swift movement of the submarines in case of emergency, as the base is located at the Bay of Bengal.

BNS Dhaka is a full-fledged naval base of the Bangladesh Navy in Dhaka of Bangladesh. It is one of largest bases in Dhaka of Bangladesh Navy.
