BAE Systems

Michael John Turner CBE (born 5 August 1948) is the former chief executive officer (CEO) of the aerospace and defence company BAE Systems, and current chairman of Babcock International and prior to the hostile takeover by Melrose was chairman of GKN plc.

Sir Richard Lake Olver FREng (born 2 January 1947) was the chairman of BAE Systems, one of the world's largest defence contractors.

MBDA UK is the British division of the pan-European missile systems company MBDA (itself a joint venture of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo). Formed in 2001, the company has developed, both independently and in cooperation, a range of missile systems, including the CAMM missile family, Storm Shadow cruise missile, ASRAAM air-to-air missile and Meteor beyond-visual-range missile (BVRAAM).

BAE Systems Regional Aircraft produced the last fully UK-built airliner in November 2001 and owned by BAE Systems, the Avro RJX (formerly the BAE 146). While this business unit no longer manufactures commercial regional airliners, it continues to lease aircraft and provide support, spares, and training for its legacy products:

Air Astana (Kazakh: Эйр Астана) is an airline and the flag carrier of Kazakhstan. Based in Almaty, the airline was founded by the Government of Kazakhstan's sovereign wealth fund Samruk Kazyna (51%) and BAE Systems (49%) and commenced operations on 15 May 2002. In February 2024, Air Astana became a dual listed company, being listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange. It is the largest airline in Central Asia and the Caucasus region, with 69% and 40% of market share on domestic and intra-regional routes from Kazakhstan.

BAE Systems Southeast Shipyards is a division of BAE Systems Ship Repair, which itself is a subsidiary of BAE Systems Inc., the North American arm of British defense conglomerate BAE Systems. It was formed through the acquisition of Atlantic Marine from the J.F. Lehman and Company private equity firm in May 2010 for $352 million.

Norkom Technologies was a provider of financial services and anti-crime software, founded in Dublin in 1998. In November 2004, it signed an agreement to acquire Belgium-based risk management firm Data4s. In 2011, it was acquired by BAE Systems and merged into its subsidiary Detica (now BAE Systems Applied Intelligence).

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence (formerly Detica, then BAE Systems Applied Intelligence) is an international defense and security technology firm owned by BAE Systems. They specialize in delivering digital solutions that enable rapid, data-driven decision-making. Their services, solutions and products span customers in Law Enforcement, National Security, Government Departments and Government Enterprises, Critical National Infrastructure, Telecommunications, the Military, and Space.

CTA International is an equal-shares joint venture company between defence companies Nexter and BAE Systems. CTAI is based in Bourges, France, and has been established to develop and manufacture case telescoped weapons and ammunition. The company name is an acronym for Case Telescoped Ammunition. Its main product is the 40CTAS for armoured fighting vehicles such as armoured reconnaissance vehicles and infantry fighting vehicles.

CORDA is a small analysis and management consultancy company, owned by BAE Systems and based in Farnborough. It provides evidence-based decision support to BAE Systems, government departments, and other commercial organisations.
