Silsila (transl. Continuation) is a 1981 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film co-written, directed, and produced by Yash Chopra. The story revolves around the love triangle of a romantic playwright Amit (Amitabh Bachchan), his wife Shobha (Jaya Bachchan), and his former lover Chandni (Rekha). The soundtrack was composed by Shiv–Hari, with lyrics from Javed Akhtar, Hasan Kamal, Meera Dev Burman, Nida Fazli, Rajendra Krishan, and Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

The film tells of the story of Sikandar (played by Amitabh Bachchan), an orphan raised in the slums of Bombay. The film's plot is loosely inspired by the Bengali novel Devdas (1917). and the French play Cyrano de Bergerac.

Mr. Natwarlal is a 1979 Indian Hindi action comedy film produced by Tony Glaad (as "Tony") and directed by Rakesh Kumar. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Ajit, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan and the music is by Rajesh Roshan, the songs are written by Anand Bakshi. The highlight of the film was a children's song sung by Amitabh Bachchan. Tony Glaad decided to take them as the writers of the film. The film was shot in Kashmir with most of the shooting done in Beerwah, Jammu and Kashmir

Khoon Pasina (Hindi: खून पसीना, Blood and Sweat) is a 1977 Hindi action crime film. The movie is produced by Baboo Mehra and directed by Rakesh Kumar. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Rekha, Nirupa Roy, Asrani, Aruna Irani, Bharat Bhushan and Kader Khan. The music is by Kalyanji Anandji. This was another "super hit" movie of Amitabh Bachchan. A comedic action scene featuring Bachchan fighting a tiger as well as a taciturn Vinod Khanna are the highlights of the movie.

Do Anjaane (transl. Two Strangers) is a 1976 Hindi-language drama film, produced by Tito, it is directed by Dulal Guha and based on the story Rater gari of Nihar Ranjan Gupta. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Prem Chopra, Pradeep Kumar, Utpal Dutt, Lalita Pawar and a young pre-stardom Mithun Chakraborty. The music is by Kalyanji Anandji. It was remade in Telugu as Maavari Manchitanam (1979). The Kannada version Aaseya Bale was released in 1987.

Irrfan Khan watched the shooting of Ganga Ki Saugandh, which took place in his hometown when he was a lad.

The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Aparna Sen, Helen and Prem Chopra. The music is by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The movie did not do well on its release.
