The Cannes Film Festival (French: Festival de Cannes), until 2003 called the International Film Festival (Festival international du film) and known in English as the Cannes Film Festival, is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world. Founded in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. The festival was formally accredited by the FIAPF in 1951.

The CableACE Award (earlier known as the ACE Awards; ACE was an acronym for Award for Cable Excellence) was an award that was given from 1978 to 1997 to honor excellence in American cable television programming. It was created by the National Cable Television Association to serve as a cable television counterpart to the Emmy Award, which before the 1987-88 season did not recognize cable programming. By 1997, the Emmys had long included cable television programming, making the CableACEs obsolete.

The Cairo International Film Festival (Arabic: مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي‎) is an annual internationally accredited film festival held in Cairo Opera House. It was established in 1976 and has taken place every year since its inception, except for 2011 and 2013, when it was cancelled due to budget limitations and political instability.

The Chicago Film Critics Association, also referred to as CFCA, is an American association of professional film critics based in Chicago. It was founded in 1990 and as of 2013 has about 60 members.

The César Awards is the national film award of France. It is delivered in the Nuit des César ceremony and was first awarded in 1976. The nominations are selected by the members of twelve categories of filmmaking professionals and supported by the French Ministry of Culture. The nationally televised award ceremony is held in Paris each year in February. The exact location has changed over the years (in the Théâtre du Châtelet from 2002 to 2016). It is an initiative of the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma, which was founded in 1975.

The Costume Designers Guild (CDG), IATSE LOCAL 892 was founded in 1953 by a group of 30 motion picture costume designers. In 1986, the Costume Designers Guild joined the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and added Local 892 to its name. Today, its international membership includes motion picture, television, and commercial costume designers, assistant costume designers and costume illustrators, and totals over 750 members. The jurisiction of Local 892 is centered in Los Angeles. The Costume Designers Guild, Local 892, publishes a quarterly magazine The Costume Designer, founded in 2005, and a CDG Newsletter six times a year.
