Art museums and galleries established in 2022

Zapurza Museum of Art & Culture is a museum located in Kudje village, located 25 kilometers from the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. it opened to the public in May 2022. The museum was inaugurated by flautist pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. The museum depicts an extensive collection of family heirloom of Maharashtra coupled with a collection of Indian painters and historic artifacts.

The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture, known as The Cheech, is a museum in Riverside, California. It is part of the larger Riverside Art Museum. The center is focused on the exhibition and study of Chicano art from across the United States. This is a collaborative effort between Cheech Marin, the City of Riverside and Riverside Art Museum. Cheech Marin is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and collector. He has donated or promised his collection of more than 700 pieces of Chicano art. Riverside provides the old Riverside public library to house the collection and the Riverside Art Museum manages the center. The Cheech strives to be a world-class institution for the research and study of "all things [related to] Chicano art". It is the first North American museum facility dedicated exclusively to Mexican-American and Chicano art.

Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka (大阪中之島美術館, Ōsaka Nakanoshima Bijutsukan) opened in Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan in 2022. The museum is located in the central Nakanoshima district of Osaka. It is one of Japan's newest and most important art museums, with a collection of over 6,000 works of modern and contemporary art and design from the mid-19th century to the present day. Highlights include works by international artists such as Amedeo Modigliani, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Frank Stella, as well as major Japanese artists such as Yūzō Saeki and Jirō Yoshihara, founder of the avant-garde Gutai group. Of particular note is the extensive collection of works by Saeki Yūzō, an artist with close ties to Osaka.

The Kunsthalle Praha is a private art museum for contemporary art that opened in February 2022. It is located in the Czech capital Prague. The museum is housed in a former cultural monument, the Zenger Transformation Station building. The director and CEO of the Kunsthalle Praha Foundation is Bulgarian Ivana Goossen.
