Argentine jurists

Cayetano Campana (1790–1871) was an Argentine jurist and politician who served as a judge of the first instance of the city of Buenos Aires. He also served as rector of the University of Córdoba and assessor of the Cabildo of Buenos Aires.

Genaro Rubén Carrió (16 February 1922 - 17 October 1997) was an Argentinian jurist and translator. He served as President of the Supreme Court of Argentina between 1983 and 1985 designated by president Raúl Alfonsín.

Octavio José Acevedo (1875 - 1933) was an Argentine soldier, lawyer, writer and teacher, who served as professor at the National College of Buenos Aires. He was the editor of El Progreso, a weekly newspaper published since the late 19th century and beginning of the 20th.

Marcelino Ugarte (1855-1929) was an Argentine jurist and politician, who served for two terms as governor of the Province of Buenos Aires. He also served as deputy and national senator for the Province of Buenos Aires.

Rafael Macedo Ferreyra (c. 1775 – 1842) was an Argentine lawyer and politician, who served as Auditor de Marina and Asesor of the Comandancia de Matrículas of the Río de la Plata. He was murdered in an attack perpetrated by the Sociedad Popular Restauradora.

José Camilo Crotto (1863–1936) was an Argentine politician, founder member of the Radical Civic Union. He served as national Senator and was Governor of Buenos Aires Province between 1918 and 1921.

Sinforoso Canaveri (1857-1930s) was an Argentine jurist, notary public and of government in the city of Buenos Aires and Buenos Aires Province.

Juan José Canaveris (1780–1837) was an Argentine politician, military, notary, prosecutor and accountant of Buenos Aires. In 1809 he was honored by the Junta Suprema de Sevilla, for his heroic participation in the defense of Buenos Aires, during the English invasions in the Río de la Plata.

Juan Canaveris (1748–1822) was an Italian notary and functionary, or official, for the viceroyalty of Río de la Plata.

Carlos Calvo (February 26, 1824, Buenos Aires – May 2, 1906, Paris) was an Argentine publicist and historian, who devoted himself to the study of the law.
