The 2023 Masters Tournament was the 87th edition of the Masters Tournament and the first of the men's four major golf championships held in 2023. The tournament was played from April 6–9 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, United States.

The 2023 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament was the national championship tournament for men's college ice hockey in the United States held from March 23-April 8, 2023. The tournament involved 16 teams in single-elimination play to determine the national champion at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the highest level of competition in college hockey. The tournament's Frozen Four—the semifinals and finals—were hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Tampa Bay Sports Commission at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The 2023 Boston Marathon was a marathon race held in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 17, 2023. It was the 127th official running of the race, and 125th time it was run on course (excluding the virtual event of 2020, and the ekiden of 1918). It also marked the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing. The field was limited to 30,000 runners.

The 2023 Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt was the 6th stock car race of the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the 3rd iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at a dirt version of Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, a 0.553 miles (0.890 km) permanent oval-shaped short track. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. In a wreck-filled race that brought numerous cautions, Joey Logano, driving for ThorSport Racing, would put on a dominating performance, winning both stages, leading 138 of the 150 laps, and earning his second career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win, along with his first of the season. To fill out the podium, Ty Majeski, driving for ThorSport Racing, and William Byron, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

The 2023 NCAA Division I men's basketball championship game was the final game of the 2023 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. It determined the national champion for the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season and was contested by the San Diego State Aztecs from the Mountain West Conference and the Connecticut (UConn) Huskies from the Big East Conference. The game was played on April 3, 2023, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. In the game, UConn defeated San Diego State 76–59 to win their fifth national championship in five appearances. Adama Sanogo of UConn was named Most Outstanding Player (MOP) of the Final Four. Despite losing, San Diego State became the first team from the Mountain West Conference to reach the semifinals or the final.

The bout took place on April 1, 2023, at Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A. Pettis defeated Jones Jr. via majority decision after 8 rounds.

The 2023 Chevron Championship was the 52nd Chevron Championship LPGA golf tournament, held April 20–23 in Texas at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, a suburb north of Houston. The tournament was in its second year with Chevron Corporation as the title sponsor and 41st year as a major championship. The Golf Channel televised the event for the 13th consecutive year, with coverage on NBC Sports for the first time since 1990.
