Amusement rides planned to open in 2024

Frozen Ever After and Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey are musical reversing Shoot the Chute dark rides at Epcot, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and Walt Disney Studios Park. The attractions feature scenes inspired by Disney's 2013 animated film Frozen as well as the 2015 animated short Frozen Fever. Its first installation in Epcot opened on June 21, 2016, using the ride vehicles and track layout of the former Maelstrom attraction. A version of the attraction opened at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 20, 2023, as part of The Walt Disney Company's centennial celebration, and Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024, with one more scheduled to open at Disney Adventure World in the spring of 2025.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is an animated simulator ride attraction located at Universal Studios Florida, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal Studios Beijing, as well as upcoming to Universal Studios Singapore. The attraction is based on Universal Pictures and Illumination's animated film Despicable Me (2010) and its franchise. While it is an opening day attraction in Beijing, it replaced Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast (which itself replaced The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera) in Florida, T2-3D: Battle Across Time in Hollywood, Back to the Future: The Ride in Japan and Madagascar: A Crate Adventure in Singapore.

Animation Academy is an attraction at Disney California Adventure, Walt Disney Studios Park, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The same attraction formerly existed in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and DisneyQuest, which closed in 2017.

SpongeBob's Crazy Carnival Ride is an interactive dark ride at the Circus Circus hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ride was first announced in August 2023 and promotional material was previewed at an International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions event in November 2023. The attraction, themed to the characters of the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants, is licensed by Paramount Global. The ride was manufactured by Sally Corporation and it opened on March 1, 2024.

Pixie Hollow is a character meet and greet attraction at Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland, offering guests the opportunity to meet Tinker Bell and her friends from the Disney Fairies franchise, including Vidia, Terrence, Fawn, Rosetta, Silvermist, Iridessa, and Periwinkle. The attraction is designed to create the illusion of gradually shrinking to Pixie size as the scenic elements in the queue increase in scale as guests approach Tinker Bell's teapot house.
