Amusement parks in Yokohama

Kodomonokuni Theme Park (こどもの国) is an amusement park near Tokyo, located in Yokohama, Japan. The park's name means Children's Country. As the name implies, it is more oriented towards young children than teenagers. It was founded in commemoration of the Royal Marriage of Prince Akihito and Princess Michiko in 1959 (who reigned as Emperor and Empress from 1989 to 2019), and it was officially opened on May 5, a national holiday of the Children's Day, in 1965. The park is approximately 240 acres (97 ha), and includes such things as a children's petting zoo, a boating lake, and a barbecue site.

Yokohama Dreamland was an amusement park that operated in Totsuka, Yokohama, Japan from 1964 to 2002. The management company, Japan Dream Tourism, was acquired by the supermarket chain Daiei in 1993, and the amusement park closed permanently on February 17, 2002, due to financial issues. At the time of its closing, the amusement park was downsized to 145,776 square metres (170,000 sq yd). It was the sister park to Nara Dreamland, which itself closed permanently four years later.

Yokohama Cosmo World (よこはまコスモワールド, Yokohama Kosumo Wārudo) is a theme park in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It contains the Cosmo Clock 21, formerly the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. It is since 1999 home to a unique coaster from Senyo Kogyo, named Diving Coaster: Vanish.

Orbi Yokohama was a wildlife theme park in Yokohama, Japan, which opened on 19 August 2013. The indoor park contained over 12 exhibitions, a shop and an 80-seat café. Orbi's main feature was a 23.4-degree theatre that was 8m tall and 40m wide and which showcased three wildlife films. The park was a joint venture between Sega and BBC Earth.

Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise (横浜・八景島シーパラダイス, Yokohama Hakkeijima Shīparadaisu) is an amusement park consisting of an aquarium, shopping mall, hotel, marina and amusement rides. It is located in Hakkeijima, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. It opened for business on May 8, 1993.

Wild Blue Yokohama was a large indoor pool complex located in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. The facility was operated by NKK Corp., a major Japanese steelmaker, and opened in June 1992 on unused land owned by NKK.
