Augustine Scriven (1852–1916) was an eminent Anglican priest in the last decades of the nineteenth century and the first two of the twentieth. He was born in Spernall, Sambourne, Warwickshire and educated at St Mary Hall, Oxford and ordained in 1875. After curacies at Kirkham and Frindsbury he held incumbencies at Martinhoe and St Peter, Rochester. In 1884 he became Archdeacon of Vancouver a post he held until his elevation to the Episcopate as Bishop of British Columbia in 1915. Less than a year later he died on 21 July 1916.

William Rider (1723 – 30 November 1785) was an English historian, priest and writer. Whilst he wrote a number of works, his New Universal Dictionary suffered in comparison with that written by Samuel Johnson and his 50-volume work A New History of England was unsuccessful; it was later described as one of the vilest Grub Street compilations ever published. He was a chaplain and master at St Paul's School for many years, as well as being associated with the Mercers' Company and churches in the City of London.

Sir William Hood Treacher, K.C.M.G. (1 December 1849 – 3 May 1919). British colonial administrator in Borneo and the Straits Settlements.

Brajendranath De (23 December 1852 – 20 September 1932) was an early Indian member of the Indian Civil Service.

Edward Craggs-Eliot, 1st Baron Eliot (London, 8 July 1727 – 17 February 1804, Port Eliot, Cornwall) was born to Richard Eliot (c.1694 – 19 November 1748) and Harriot Craggs (c.1704 – January 1769), the illegitimate daughter of the Privy Counsellor and Secretary of State, James Craggs (9 April 1686 – 2 March 1721) and Hester Santlow, the noted actress.

The Ven. Francis Ashenhurst (1729–1795) was Archdeacon of Derby from 1689 until 1704.

Richard Claridge (1649 – 28 April 1723) was an English Anglican priest and Quaker convert.

Eubule Thelwall (c.– 20 June 1727) was Principal of Jesus College, Oxford, from 1725 to 1727.
