Albian genera

Borealopelta (meaning "Northern shield") is a genus of nodosaurid ankylosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of what is today Alberta, Canada. It contains a single species, B. markmitchelli, named in 2017 by Caleb Brown and colleagues from a well-preserved specimen known as the Suncor nodosaur. Discovered at an oil sands mine north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, the specimen is remarkable for being among the best-preserved dinosaur fossils of its size ever found. It preserved not only the armor (osteoderms) in their life positions, but also remains of their keratin sheaths, overlying skin, and stomach contents from the animal's last meal. Melanosomes were also found that indicate the animal had a reddish pinkish skin tone.

Astrodon is a genus of large herbivorous sauropod dinosaur, measuring 20 m (66 ft) in length, 9 m (30 ft) in height and 20 metric tons (22 short tons) in body mass. It lived in what is now the eastern United States during the Early Cretaceous period, and fossils have been found in the Arundel Formation, which has been dated through palynomorphs to the Albian about 112 to 110 million years ago.

Paleomattea is an extinct genus of prawn, containing the single species Paleomattea deliciosa. The species is only known from the stomach contents of the fish Rhacolepis, which is referred to by the specific epithet deliciosa ("delicious"), and in the generic name, where mattea means "delicacy".

Hypnovenator (meaning "sleep hunter") is an extinct genus of troodontid theropod dinosaurs from the Early Cretaceous (Albian) Ohyamashimo Formation of Japan. The genus contains a single species, H. matsubaraetoheorum, known from a partial skeleton. Hypnovenator is the only troodontid currently known from Japan, and it represents the oldest definitive member of the subgroup Troodontinae.

Cooyoo ("fish" in the Yirandhali language) is an extinct genus of ichthyodectid ray-finned fish known from the Lower Cretaceous. It contains a single species, C. australis, known from the Albian-aged Toolebuc and Allaru Formations of Queensland, Australia. C. australis was originally named by Arthur Smith Woodward as a species of Portheus (now a probable synonym of Xiphactinus) in 1894, which was later amended to Xiphactinus.

Bullichthys is an extinct genus of marine albuliform fish which existed in the Romualdo Formation, Brazil during the Early Cretaceous (Albian) period. The type species is B. santanensis. The genus name references its inflated otic bulla.

Caeus is an extinct genus of prehistoric marine ray-finned fish, closely related to the modern milkfish. It contains a single species, C. leopoldi from the Early Cretaceous of the Pietraroja Plattenkalk, Italy. It is one of the largest teleosts known from the Pietraroja formation, and is known by only a single specimen.

Beurlenia is an extinct genus of shrimp containing the species Beurlenia araripensis. It is named after the German palaeontologist Karl Beurlen (1901–1985). Fossils of the shrimp were found in the Crato Formation of the Araripe Basin of northeastern Brazil. A study on the anatomy and morphological variation in Beurlenia araripensis, based on data from fossil samples from the Crato Formation (Brazil), was published by Barros et al. (2021).

Alburnia is an extinct genus of shrimp in the order Decapoda. It contains the species Alburnia petinensis.

Cipactlichthys is a genus of extinct marine holostean fish from the Lower Cretaceous of Mexico, distantly related to modern bowfins. The only known species is Cipactlichthys scutatus.
