Nagar Lai is an educator, and is Director of Overseas Division, South China University of Technology NC and visiting professor of numerous universities. He formed the Institute of Supply Chain Management and the China Business Manager Association. He was the head of the Principal Examiners Alliance, Cambridge University International Examiner Syndicate for China since 2003 and founding Vice-President for the Hong Kong Continuing Education Development Alliance, in which nearly all the major business-related professional associations in Hong Kong are represented.

Li Yuanyuan (born 3 October 1958) is a Chinese engineer who is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former president of South China University of Technology, Jilin University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and currently party secretary of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Cheng Rongshi (Chinese: 程镕时; 18 October 1927 – 7 February 2021) was a Chinese physical chemist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He Jingtang (Chinese: 何镜堂; born 1938 Dongguan) is a Chinese architect and the head of the architecture program at the South China University of Technology's school of architecture whose works include the wrestling and badminton venues built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Chinese Pavilion sometimes referred to as the "Crown of China" for Expo 2010 which was held in Shanghai and later reopened as the China Art Museum. More recently designed the new campus of the University of Macau which was completed in 2013.

Zhang Youqi (Chinese: 张佑启; Wade–Giles: Chung Yau-Kai; 18 September 1934 – 23 September 2022) was a Chinese scientist who was a professor at South China University of Technology, a former vice president of the University of Hong Kong, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Yang Hongxun (Chinese: 杨鸿勋; December 1931 – 17 April 2016) was a Chinese architect, architectural historian, and archaeologist. He was a professor at the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and a founder of the field of architectural archaeology in China. He published a number of acclaimed books in the fields of architectural history and archaeology of China, and designed the National Museum of Chinese Writing and the Longshan Culture Museum.
