21st-century Argentine politicians

Carlos Saúl Menem (2 July 1930 – 14 February 2021) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the 44th president of Argentina from 1989 to 1999. He was also a Senator for La Rioja Province from 2005 until his death. Ideologically, he identified as a Peronist and supported economically liberal policies. He served as President of the Justicialist Party for thirteen years, and his political approach became known as Menemism.

Mauricio Macri (born 8 February 1959) is an Argentine businessman and politician who served as President of Argentina from 2015 to 2019. A former civil engineer, Macri won the first presidential runoff ballotage in Argentina's history (the runoff system had been introduced in 1994) and is the first democratically-elected non-Radical or Peronist president since 1916. He previously served as the chief of government of Buenos Aires from 2007 to 2015, and represented the city in the lower house of the Congress of Argentina from 2005 to 2007.

Cristina Elisabet Fernández de Kirchner ( born 19 February 1953), often referred to by her initials CFK, is an Argentine lawyer and politician who has served as the Vice President of Argentina since 2019. She also previously served as the 51st President of Argentina from 2007 to 2015 and the first lady during the tenure of her husband, Néstor Kirchner. She was the third woman to hold the Argentine vice presidency, the second woman to hold the presidency, the first directly elected female president, and the first woman re-elected to the office. Ideologically, she identifies herself as a Peronist and a social democrat on the Argentine center-left, with her political approach called Kirchnerism.

Néstor Carlos Kirchner Jr. (25 February 1950 – 27 October 2010) was an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as the 50th President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007, Governor of Santa Cruz Province from 1991 to 2003, Secretary General of UNASUR and the first gentleman during the first tenure of his wife, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. He was President of the Justicialist Party from 2008 to 2010. Ideologically, he identified himself as a Peronist and a progressive, with his political approach called Kirchnerism.

María Eugenia Vidal (born 8 September 1973) is an Argentine politician who served as Governor of the Buenos Aires Province, being the first woman in the office, and the first non-Peronist since 1987.

Stella Maris Raquel Leverberg known as Marilu (12 September 1962 – 3 January 2020) was an Argentinian politician. She has been National Representative for the province of Misiones and Secretary General of the local teaching union.

Débora Denise Pérez Volpin (30 December 1967 – 6 February 2018) was an Argentine politician, journalist and television host. She was the host of the news program Todo Noticias since 1996 and the program Arriba Argentinos since its inception in 2005.

Lidia Elsa Satragno (born November 11, 1935 - died December 08, 2022) was an entertainer and politician in Argentina, where she is popularly known as Pinky.

Daniel Osvaldo Scioli (born 13 January 1957) is an Argentine politician, sportsman, and businessman. He was Vice President of Argentina and Governor of Buenos Aires Province.

Gabriela Carla Cerruti (born 9 December 1965) is an Argentine journalist, writer, and politician. In 2007 she was elected to the Buenos Aires City Legislature, and subsequently re-elected for the 2011–2015 term. She was part of the New Encounter bloc, a party for which she was one of the main references in her district. She is currently a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the term 2017–2021 for Citizen's Unity.
