2023 in North Korea

Hero Kim Kun Ok (Korean: 김군옥영웅함) or Tactical Nuclear Attack Submarine No. 841, is a Sinpo-C-class submarine operated by the Korean People's Navy. It is a modification of the Romeo-class submarine, of which 20 are under operation by North Korea. The "nuclear" in its designation refers to its projected armament; it is diesel-, not nuclear-powered.

The 2023 North Korea–Russia summit was a summit meeting between North Korea and Russia where North Korean General Secretary Kim Jong Un met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 13 September 2023. The meeting was held at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Russian Far East. It was part of a visit by Kim Jong Un between 12–17 September.

Malligyong-1 (Korean: 《만리경-1》호; Hanja: 萬里鏡 1号; lit. Telescope-1) is a type of North Korean reconnaissance satellite.

Chollima-1 (Korean: 《천리마-1》형) is a North Korean launch vehicle. It will be used by North Korea to launch satellites into orbit. The rocket is launched from a coastal launch platform in the Sohae Satellite Launching Station. The rocket has been developed to compete with the South Korean Nuri rocket.
