The 2022 Senior Open Championship, for sponsorship reasons known as The Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex, was a senior major golf championship and the 35th Senior Open Championship, held on 21–24 July at Gleneagles – Kings Course in Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland. It was the first Senior Open Championship played at the course and the 19th Senior Open Championship played as a senior major championship.

The 2021–22 season was the 52nd campaign of the Scottish Basketball Championship, the national basketball league of Scotland. There was no 2020–21 season due to the global coronavirus pandemic. 15 teams were split across Division 1, featuring 9 teams, and Division 2, featuring 6 teams.

Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall was a professional boxing match contested between undisputed light welterweight champion, Josh Taylor, and the WBO's mandatory challenger, Jack Catterall. The event took place on 26 February 2022, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Taylor's split decision victory was controversial, with the British Boxing Board of Control launching an investigation into the scoring in the aftermath of the fight.

The 2022 Open Championship, officially the 150th Open Championship, was a golf tournament played 14–17 July on the Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland. The championship was won by Cameron Smith with a score of 268, 20 under par, one stroke ahead of Cameron Young.

The 2022–23 season was the 53rd campaign of the Scottish Basketball Championship, the national basketball league of Scotland. 18 teams were split across Division 1, featuring 11 teams, and Division 2, featuring 7 teams.

The 2022 GB Pro-Series Glasgow was a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the twenty-ninth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2022 ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. It took place in Glasgow, United Kingdom between 17 and 23 October 2022.
