2017 The Allies women's State of Origin players

The 2017 AFL Women's season was the first season of the elite women's Australian rules football competition. Eight teams competed in the league, all of which are associated with existing Australian Football League (AFL) clubs. The first game was played on Friday, 3 February, and the season concluded with the grand final on Saturday, 25 March.

Hayley Miller (born 3 February 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Miller was drafted by Fremantle with their first selection and fourth overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the thirty-two point loss to the Western Bulldogs at VU Whitten Oval in the opening round of the 2017 season. She played every match in her debut season to finish with seven matches.

Rebecca 'Bec' Goddard is an Australian rules football coach who served as the head coach of the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW) between 2017 and 2018, winning the 2017 AFL Women's Grand Final. She was assistant coach of the University of Canberra Capitals in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) in 2018/19, when it won the league championship.

Bianca Jakobsson (born 30 March 1993) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She previously played for Carlton in 2017 season.

Kirby Bentley (born 9 May 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Carlton in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Bentley was signed as a priority player by Fremantle in August 2016 ahead of the league's inaugural 2017 season. She made her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the club's inaugural match against Western Bulldogs at VU Whitten Oval.

Ebony Antonio (born 18 December 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Antonio was selected in the 2018 AFL Women's All-Australian team and won the Fremantle fairest and best award in 2018.

Jessica Wuetschner (born 28 April 1992) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Women's.

Jessica Sedunary (born 10 November 1990) is an Australian rules footballer playing for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. She played her first game of football when, after going to a friend's football game to spectate, she was forced to take to the field after an injury to one of the other players having never kicked a football before. She went on to win a premiership with Morphettville Park Football Club and being drafted by Adelaide for the first season of the AFLW.

Stevie-Lee Thompson (born 23 March 1992) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. She was drafted by Adelaide with their fourteenth selection and 106th overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the thirty-six point win against Greater Western Sydney at Thebarton Oval in the opening round of the 2017 season. She was a part of Adelaide's premiership side after the club defeated Brisbane by six points at Metricon Stadium in the AFL Women's Grand Final. She played every match in her debut season to finish with eight matches.

Dana Hooker (born 23 January 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the West Coast Eagles in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Fremantle Football Club from 2017 to 2019. Hooker is a dual AFL Women's All-Australian and was the inaugural Fremantle fairest and best winner in 2017.
