Up All Night is the debut studio album by English-Irish boy band One Direction, released by Syco Records in November 2011 in Ireland and the United Kingdom, followed by a worldwide release during 2012. Four months after finishing third in the seventh series of British reality singing contest The X Factor in December 2010, One Direction began recording the album in Sweden, UK and the United States, working with a variety of writers and producers. The album is predominantly a pop music album which orientates into pop rock, dance-pop, teen pop and power pop. The album's lyrical content regards being young, relationships, heartbreak and empowerment. Staged in support of the album, One Direction performed the album's songs live on televised shows, at awards ceremonies, and during their worldwide Up All Night Tour.

The Drug in Me Is You is the debut studio album by American post-hardcore band Falling in Reverse. Production for the album took place following lead singer Ronnie Radke's departure from Escape the Fate in 2008. Recording took place in December 2010 and lasted until February 2011 at Paint it Black Studios in Orlando, Florida. Michael Baskette, who worked with Radke on Escape the Fate's Dying is Your Latest Fashion, returned as the executive producer for the album, alongside former bandmate Omar Espinosa and others as additional composers and production aids in the studio. The Drug in Me Is You was released on July 25, 2011, in Europe and Japan, and on July 26, 2011, in the United States.

Killer Love is the debut studio album by American singer Nicole Scherzinger, former lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. It was released from March 18, 2011 by Interscope Records, in association with its affiliated record labels. Scherzinger had been working on a solo album since 2005, under the title Her Name Is Nicole and was originally due for release in 2007. However, unsuccessful singles and poor timing led the project being pushed back numerous times into 2008 and 2009. After releasing The Pussycat Dolls' second album Doll Domination, Scherzinger shelved the project entirely citing bad timing and creative issues as the reasons for its cancellation. Many of its songs were re-assigned to the Dolls or other artists. In 2010, Moroccan producer RedOne was brought on board for a second attempt at launching her solo album.

Music Is Better Than Words is the debut studio album by Seth MacFarlane. The album was produced and conducted by film and television composer Joel McNeely, who is also one of the composers of American Dad!, an animated TV series co-created by MacFarlane. On November 30, 2011, the album received nominations at the 54th Grammy Awards for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Thompson Square is the self-titled debut album of the American country music duo Thompson Square. The album was released on February 8, 2011 via Stoney Creek Records, a division of Broken Bow Records. It includes the singles "Let's Fight," "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not," "I Got You," and "Glass."

International Villager is an album by Punjabi music artist and producer Yo Yo Honey Singh. It was released on 11 November 2011.

Andy Grammer is the self-titled debut album from American recording artist Andy Grammer. It was released on June 14, 2011, via S-Curve Records. The album was preceded by the song "Keep Your Head Up", which was released on February 14, 2011 and was the first single from the album. The second single was "Fine by Me", which was released in December 2011. The album was produced by Matt Wallace (Maroon 5), Matt Radosevich, Dave Katz, and Sam Hollander (Gym Class Heroes). The album's platinum-certified single "Keep Your Head Up" was produced by Lion's Share with additional production by Steve Greenberg and mixed by Tony Maserati. The album peaked at number 105 on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as reaching the summit of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

Cole World: The Sideline Story is the debut studio album by American rapper J. Cole. The album was released on September 27, 2011 under Dreamville Records and Roc Nation with distribution from Sony Music. The album is his first studio release, following three successful mixtapes. Production was handled mainly by Cole himself, with some production from high-profile producer No I.D. It includes features from Trey Songz, Drake, Jay-Z, and Missy Elliott. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, with 218,000 units sold in the first week following its release.

En t'attendant is the debut studio album by the French actress and singer Mélanie Laurent, released on 2 May 2011 on Atmosphériques. Produced by Joel Shearer, it contains twelve songs, five of which are co-written and co-produced with the Irish folk musician Damien Rice.
