2003 Italian television series debuts

Elisa di Rivombrosa is an Italian television series (partly inspired by the 1740 novel Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded) about a love story in 18th century Italy between Fabrizio Ristori, a young Italian Count, and his mother's maid, Elisa. It was broadcast on Mediaset for two seasons from 2003 to 2005.

Martin Mystery (French: Martin Mystère) is an animated television series based on the Italian comic book Martin Mystère by Alfredo Castelli. The show was produced by Marathon Animation (French television production company based in Neuilly-sur-Seine), and Image Entertainment Corporation (a Canadian production and animation company based in Montreal). It uses an art style similar to Japanese anime. The series premiered on YTV on 1 October 2003 in its originating country of Canada.

La Cittadella is a 2003 Italian miniseries based on A. J. Cronin's 1937 novel, The Citadel, and produced by Titanus. It was directed by Fabrizio Costa and stars Massimo Ghini as Dr. Manson and Barbora Bobuľová as his wife, Christine. Pet Pals (Italian: Cuccioli) is an Italian animated television series. It was created by Sergio Manfio and Francesco Manfio while the Disney cartoonist Giorgio Cavazzano served as art director. Two feature films based on the series were produced: Cuccioli - Il codice di Marco Polo in 2010 and Cuccioli - Il paese del vento in 2014.

Produced by Gruppo Alcuni, Marco Polo's Code is based on the Pet Pals animated children's television series. It was released in Italian cinemas on 22 January 2010. A sequel, titled Pet Pals in Windland, was released on 27 March 2014.
