The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 independent musical comedy horror film produced by Lou Adler and Michael White, directed by Jim Sharman, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The screenplay was written by Sharman and Richard O'Brien, who also played the supporting role Riff-raff. The film is based on the 1973 musical stage production The Rocky Horror Show, with music, book, and lyrics by O'Brien. The production is a tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s through to the early 1960s. The film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick. It is part of the women in prison cycle of violent sexploitation films that flourished in the 1970s and early 1980s. A women's prison tale, it stars Lina Romay as Maria, who has been jailed after killing her father, played by director Jesús Franco himself.

The Stepford Wives is a 1975 American satirical psychological thriller film directed by Bryan Forbes. Written by Massimo Felisatti, the film stars Nino Castelnuovo, Edwige Fenech and Solvi Stubing, and features music by Berto Pisano. Nude per l'assassino has received mixed to negative reviews from critics.

Emanuelle's Revenge (Italian: Emanuelle e Françoise le sorelline, 'Emanuelle and Francene, the Sisters', released in the UK as Emanuelle and Francoise) is an Italian film directed by Joe D'Amato. It is a remake of the Greek film The Wild Pussycat (1969). Unlike the French Emmanuelle series, to which it refers only in name, Emanuelle's Revenge has been described as being close to a sex-themed giallo, or as a combination of several genres: the rape and revenge film, the splatter film, the erotic film and the thriller. The film was written by Bruno Mattei and D'Amato. Bruno Mattei co-directed the film with D'Amato, but only D'Amato was credited.

Trilogy of Terror is a 1975 American made-for-television anthology horror film directed by Dan Curtis and starring Karen Black. It features three segments, each based on unrelated short stories by Richard Matheson. The first follows a college professor who seeks excitement with her students; the second is about twin sisters who have a bizarre relationship. These two segments were adapted by William F. Nolan. The third, adapted by Matheson himself, focuses on a woman terrorized by a Zuni fetish doll in her apartment. Black stars in all three segments, and plays dual roles in the second.
