    Hot August Night is a 1972 live double album by Neil Diamond. ("Hot August night" is also the opening lyric to Diamond's 1969 single, "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show".) The album is a recording of a Diamond concert on August 24, 1972, one of ten sold out concerts that Diamond performed that month at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine calls Hot August Night "the ultimate Neil Diamond record ... shows Diamond the icon in full glory."

    Johnny Mathis in Person: Recorded Live at Las Vegas is a live album by American pop singer Johnny Mathis that was recorded at Caesar's Palace and released in the winter of 1972 by Columbia Records. All but five of the 23 songs performed had appeared on his studio albums, while the five previously unrecorded songs (described below) have not appeared on a Mathis studio album since. The album made its first appearance on Billboard magazine's Top LP's & Tapes chart in the issue dated February 5, 1972, and remained there for seven weeks, peaking at number 128.

    Eat a Peach is the third studio album by American rock band the Allman Brothers Band. Produced by Tom Dowd, the album was released on February 12, 1972, in the United States by Capricorn Records. Following their artistic and commercial breakthrough with the release of the live album At Fillmore East (1971), the Allman Brothers Band got to work on their third studio album. Many in the band were struggling, however, with heroin addictions, and checked into rehab to confront these problems. Shortly after leaving rehab, group leader and founder Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident in the band's home of Macon, Georgia thus making it the final album to feature the guitarist.

    The Isleys Live is a live album released by The Isley Brothers in 1973 on T-Neck Records as a double album with the catalog number TNS 3010-2. Recorded at the Bitter End in New York City, the band are introduced as T Neck recording artists before they take the stage. Two decades later, Rhino Records re-issued the album including three live dates from the brothers' 1969 show at Yankee Stadium. This album is the only T-Neck recording not reissued by Sony Music Entertainment; instead it was reissued by Rhino Records.
