The Karenni National Progressive Party (Burmese: ကရင်နီအမျိုးသားတိုးတက်ရေးပါတီ; abbr. KNPP) is a Karenni political organisation in Kayah State, Myanmar (Burma). Its armed wing, the Karenni Army, fought against government forces for an independent Karenni State from 1957 until a ceasefire in 2012. A similar ceasefire deal was signed in 1995, but it was dissolved within three months. In 2021, KNPP became a member of the National Unity Consultative Council.

The University of Veterinary Science, Yezin (Burmese: မွေးမြူရေးဆိုင်ရာဆေးတက္ကသိုလ်(ရေဆင်း) ), located in Yezin in the outskirts of Naypyidaw, is the only university of veterinary science in Myanmar (Burma). The university offers a six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) program. Since 2014, UVS renamed its BVSc degree (UK format) to DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine: USA format) and, since then, all new graduates received DVM title instead. It accepts about 100 students a year. It has launched a four-year Bachelor of Animal Science (BASc) program since 2014. It accepts about 100 students a year. It also offers graduate (PhD, MPhil, MVM and MVSc) degree programs. The language of instruction at UVS is English.

Myanma Pharmaceutical Industrial Enterprise (MPIE; Burmese: မြန်မာ့ဆေးဝါးလုပ်ငန်း) is a state-owned enterprise (SOE) under the Ministry of Industry that conducts R&D, manufacturing and distribution for over 200 essential pharmaceuticals.
