1930s architecture

Edwin Lewis Snyder (July 2, 1887 – March 28, 1969) was an architect and pioneer in the use of Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture, building homes in Northern California for decades from the early to mid-twentieth century. The Snyder-designed Berkeley Community YWCA, built in 1930, is on the city's historical register; the Roy O. Long Co. Building, built in 1927, is on the California Historical Resources Inventory. Along with Frederick L. Confer (designer of the Tao House), Snyder designed several “western colonial” homes during the depression. Snyder designed the 7,700-square-foot (720 m) Alpha Delta Pi sorority house in Berkeley, excluding architect’s fees, the English cottage style structure was made for $27,500.

Bauhaus and its Sites in Weimar, Dessau and Bernau are World Heritage Sites in Germany, comprising six separate sites which are associated with the Bauhaus art school. It was designated in 1996 with four initial sites, and in 2017 two further sites were added.

Pasing Town Hall (German: Rathaus Pasing) is the former town hall of the municipality of Pasing, Bavaria, Germany, which was incorporated into Munich in 1938.

The ADGB Trade Union School (Bundesschule des Allgemeinen Deutschen Gewerkschaftsbundes (ADGB)), is a training centre complex in Bernau bei Berlin, Germany. It was built for the former General German Trade Union Federation, from 1928 to 1930. It is a textbook example of Bauhaus functionalist architecture, both in the finished product and in the analytical and collaborative approach used to develop the design and complete the project. Next to the Bauhaus Dessau building, it was the second-largest project ever undertaken by the Bauhaus.

The Notre-Dame des Vertus chapel is a Catholic religious building in the town of La Flèche, Sarthe. Built in Gallo-Roman times (at the crossroads of the Roman roads from Le Mans to Angers, and from Tours to Laval), it was rebuilt in the 11th and 12th centuries under the patronage of Saint Ouen. It was restored in the 17th century by the Jesuits of the La Flèche College, and dedicated to Notre-Dame-des-Vertus.

Anhaltisches Theater Dessau is a theatre in Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, which was called Landestheater Dessau until 1984. It is Mehrspartentheater [de] offering drama, musical theatre (operas, operettas, musicals), ballets, concerts of the Anhaltische Philharmonie [de] orchestra, and puppetry.

The Doldertal Apartment Houses (German: Mehrfamilienhäuser Doldertal) are a group of modern apartment buildings in Doldertal, a suburb of Zürich on the slope of the Adlisberg mountain. The buildings were designed by architects Alfred Roth, Emil Roth, and reviewed by Marcel Breuer. They were built in 1936.

Kanara Building, also known as Adana Slaughterhouse, is a historic municipal slaughterhouse in the Seyhan district of Adana, Turkey, which opened in 1932.
