    St. Marien am Behnitz is the second-oldest Catholic church in the area of Berlin, Germany, after the St. Hedwig's Cathedral. It was built in Spandau on a design by August Soller, and consecrated in 1848. Restored in 2002–2003 by private owners, it is a registered monument, used mostly for musical and literary events.

    Roter Ochse ("The Red Ox", today JVA Halle I) is a prison in Halle (Saale). The name can be traced to the end of the nineteenth century, but its origin is unclear. It is said to be related to the colour of the masonry. Since 1996 the building has also been used as a memorial.

    The Herrenwieser Schwallung is a splash dam, built in 1844–47 of bunter sandstone, near Herrenwies in the Black Forest, which impounds the waters of the Schwarzenbach stream into a pond. In the days of timber rafting it was periodically opened and washed the fallen logs or timber rafts downstream into the valley. Today the dam acts as a bridge over the Schwarzenbach.

    The Ankara Synagogue (Turkish: Ankara Sinagogu) is a Jewish congregation and synagogue located on Birlik Street, in Ankara, in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. Completed in 1834, the stone synagogue was built in Ulus, the tumbling old quarter of Turkey's capital. The synagogue was radically refurbished by an Italian architect in 1906. The historical building is kept closed most of the year except for the major days, as it cannot find the required number of congregation members for regular worship.

    The Feldherrnhalle ("Field Marshals' Hall") is a monumental loggia on the Odeonsplatz in Munich, Germany. Modelled after the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, it was commissioned in 1841 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria to honour the tradition of the Bavarian Army.
