American Warships is a science fiction action film by The Asylum, that premiered on the Syfy Channel on May 15, 2012. In the tradition of The Asylum's film catalog, the film is a mockbuster of the Hasbro/Universal Pictures film Battleship.
Josh Cohen was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. At the age of four, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with his family. Josh started acting in the 3rd grade and pursued it through middle and high school. Josh has won multiple NCTC awards and was also selected for a private audition to join the "City at Peace" non-profit group.
Once Josh Cohen graduated high school in 2010, he moved on to become a double major in Theater and Philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. There, he signed with Legacy Talent. Not only is he involved in acting, he is pursuing a modeling career, as well. Within the first year of modeling, Josh Cohen was involved in twelve photo shoots, ranging from San Francisco to Wilmington, North Carolina.
Within the same year, he booked twelve different roles on various TV shows, movies and commercials. After being featured on One Tree Hill (2003) and The Bachelorette (2003); In early 2012, Josh booked a role as a 1940's Naval Officer in a National Pepsi commercial, where he swung dance upon the actual U.S.S. North Carolina. Josh Cohen currently lives on Wrightsville Beach, which is right outside of Wilmington.
